1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing the website at https://www.kanevp.org and enrolling in our training classes (the "Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you are prohibited from using this site or attending our classes.
2. Description of Services
KaneVP provides professional training and accredited certification courses. These classes are delivered via:
- Virtual Live Training: Hosted via Zoom.
- In-Person Training: Hosted at physical locations designated by us.
- Accreditation Notice: While our courses are accredited by International Communication Learning Institute, the issuance of any certificate or credit is contingent upon the participant's full attendance, participation, and successful completion of course requirements.
3. Payments and Billing
- Payment Processing: We use Stripe to process all payments. By making a purchase, you agree to provide current, complete, and accurate purchase and account information. You further agree to Stripe's Terms of Service.
- Currency: All prices are listed in USD.
- Authorization: By providing a credit card or other payment method, you represent and warrant that you are authorized to use the designated payment method and authorize us to charge your payment method for the total amount of your order (including any applicable taxes).
4. Cancellation and Refund Policy
- Student Cancellations: You may cancel your enrollment up to 30 days before the scheduled class start date for a full refund. Cancellations made within 30 days of the class are subject to a 50% fee.
- Business Cancellations: We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule any class due to low enrollment, instructor illness, or other unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, you will be offered a transfer to a future date or a full refund.
5. Virtual Class Policies (Zoom)
- Access: You will receive a secure Zoom link prior to the class. This link is for your personal use only and must not be shared.
- Etiquette: Participants are expected to maintain a professional environment. We reserve the right to remove any participant from a Zoom session without refund for disruptive or inappropriate behavior.

6. Intellectual Property
All course materials, including slides, handouts, videos, and curricula, are the intellectual property of KaneVP. You are granted a limited license to use these materials for your personal learning. You may not reproduce, distribute, or sell any course materials without our express written consent.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, KaneVP shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of the use of our services. Our total liability for any claim arising out of these terms shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific service.
8. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois.
9. Code of Conduct
To ensure a safe, productive, and professional learning environment for all participants, KaneVP requires all students to adhere to the following Code of Conduct. Failure to comply may result in removal from the class without a refund.
A. General Professionalism (All Formats)
- Respectful Interaction: We have a zero-tolerance policy for harassment, discrimination, hate speech, or aggressive behavior toward instructors or fellow students.
- Active Participation: As these are accredited courses, full engagement is required. Sleeping, driving, or engaging in other distracting activities during instruction may result in a loss of credit or certification.
- Sobriety: Students must be sober and free of the influence of drugs or alcohol during class hours.
B. In-Person Class Protocols
- Safety & Usage: Please do not attend class if you are exhibiting symptoms of contagious illness (fever, cough, etc.). Contact us immediately to reschedule.
- Punctuality: Arriving more than 15 minutes late may disqualify you from receiving your certification due to accreditation hour requirements.
- Venue Rules: Students must respect the training facility, including following all parking, smoking, and clean-up regulations posted at the venue.
C. Zoom / Virtual Class Protocols
- Camera Policy: To verify attendance for accreditation purposes, your camera must be on and your face visible for the duration of the class, unless otherwise instructed by the teacher.
- Environment: Please join from a quiet, stationary location (e.g., a desk or table). Do not join the class while driving or strictly supervising children, as this prevents the focus required for certification.
- Muting: Keep your microphone muted when not speaking to reduce background noise.
- Appropriate Conduct: Dress appropriately for a video call (similar to how you would dress for an in-person class). Ensure your background is free of offensive or distracting imagery.
